The Florida State University Office of Research presents the Festival of the Creative Arts, a campus-wide collaborative event highlighting the diverse voices, talents and creativity of FSU faculty and students.
Departments from across campus will come together throughout February to celebrate innovation and diversity that results from combining various modes of expression and subjects.
"The festival is a celebration of the creative talent, ongoing research and innovation on our campus," said Professor of Organ Iain Quinn, who is the festival's director and the university's Research Fellow in the arts and humanities. "The Festival of the Creative Arts has a special focus on interdisciplinary collaborations with first performances, symposia, multi-media events, a film screening and events for children. We were thrilled with the response to the inaugural festival and look forward to welcoming audiences back to campus for these special events."
This year's events include two premieres, including a new composition by FSU Assistant Professor of Composition Liliya Ugay based on a text by Professor of English David Kirby.
All events are free and open to the public.
