Forster's Boronia Park clubhouse complete

MidCoast Council

An extension and refurbishment of Forster's Boronia Park soccer clubhouse has been completed, providing modern facilities to support sporting groups and activities at the location.

"The existing clubhouse has been extended, adding up to fifty percent more space and now provides a modern facility that can support all users of the park," said MidCoast Council's Executive Manager Community Spaces, Dan Aldridge.

A new canteen, meeting / function room and office along with a dedicated first aid room is now available for sporting groups.

The new building also includes female and fully accessible amenities, along with parents baby change room.

The works were completed thanks to the second round of the NSW Stronger Country Communities fund and complete works totalling $780,880 for the Boronia Park soccer and netball clubs.

Earlier works as part of that grant included the netball clubhouse extensions and the new soccer storage shed, which were both completed in 2020.

Recent sporting field improvements have included lighting upgrades at Lansdowne Recreation Reserve and Cundletown sports field, and replacement of the clubhouse at Nabiac's Aub Ferris sports complex, all of which were completed last year.
