Forty Mile (west of Mount Garnet) – bushfire as at 12.30pm Mon 9 Sept

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) and Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) crews are on scene at a bushfire burning near Kennedy Highway and Saint Ronans Road, Forty Mile. Firefighters will be monitoring the blaze over the coming days and there is not threat to property at this time. Smoke may affect Forty Mile and surrounds. If affected, residents are asked to close windows and doors. Those suffering a respiratory condition should keep their medications close by. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
