A second Malaysian man has been handed a prison sentence for his involvement in smuggling more than six million cigarettes into Australia.
The man entered a guilty plea on 16 November 2018 to one count of importing tobacco products under Section 233BABABD (1) of the Customs Act 1901.
On 10 April 2019 he was sentenced to four and a half years in prison for the concealed tobacco which originated from Malaysia with a total duty evasion of more than $4,000,000.
