Four arrested after home invasion in Tregear

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a home invasion in Tregear overnight, NSW Police say.

About 12:40am tomorrow, emergency services were called to a house on Ellsworth Drive, Tregear following reports of a home invasion.

Police have been told that four men and a woman forced their way into the house before assaulting a male resident with a steel pole.

The group fled the location, leaving the scene in a white Mazda.

The victim was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics for facial injuries before being taken to Nepean Hospital for further treatment.

Police from Mount Druitt Local Area Command were contacted and located the white Mazda on Forrester Road, Tregear.

Police stopped the vehicle and arrested a 34-year-old man, a 37-year-old woman, a 17-year-old male and two 16-year-old youths.

They were all taken to Mount Druitt Police Station where they are currently assisting police with their inquiries.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
