Four injured after crash - Croydon Park

A woman is in a critical condition, and three others seriously injured, after a car and truck collided in Sydney's Inner West today.

About 8.50am (Saturday 25 April 2020), emergency services were called to Georges River Road, Croydon Park, after reports a Mazda 3 and a truck had been involved in a crash.

Officers from Burwood Police Area command attended, along with NSW Ambulance, Fire and rescue NSW and the Toll Ambulance helicopter.

Two occupants of the Mazda had been able to get out on their own; however, two others were trapped and had to be freed from the vehicle.

A female passenger was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital, in a critical condition.

The Mazda driver, a 43-year-old man, and two other passengers were also taken to RPA Hospital in a serious condition.

The 42-year-old truck driver was not injured and was taken to Concord Hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established and officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit have commenced an investigation into the circumstance surrounding the crash.
