Fourth Man Charged After Weapons Seized From Vehicle Search - St Peters

Another man will face court after a car was stopped and searched in Sydney's Inner West in August 2025.

Just after 1.15pm on Friday 29 August 2025), officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command were called to Campbell Street, St Peters, following reports of concerns about the behaviour of three men.

Police stopped and searched a vehicle on Campbell Street and seized a machete, cable ties, duct tape and an electronic stun device.

Three men – aged 23, 43, and 44 – were since been charged and appeared before the court.

Following further inquiries, about 8am today (Wednesday 8 October 2025), police executed a search warrant at a home on Brussels Street, North Strathfield, where they arrested a 23-year-old man and seized a number of electronic devices.

He was taken to Burwood Police station where he was charged with take/detain person in company with intent to obtain advantage, and false representation resulting in police investigation.

The man was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court tomorrow (Thursday 9 October 2025).
