Fourth Teen Charged in Central Coast Crime Spree

A fourth teenager has been charged after a boy was seriously injured following an alleged kidnapping incident on the Central Coast.

About 6.45am on Sunday 8 March 2026, emergency services were called to the carpark of a shopping centre in Woy Woy following reports a teenage boy had been located suffering a range of injuries.

Following inquiries, police established that the boy had allegedly been assaulted by a group of teenagers over a period of approximately 50 minutes.

The assault allegedly occurred at multiple locations in Woy Woy, and the boy allegedly had his backpack, laptop and mobile phone stolen.

The 17-year-old boy was taken to Gosford Hospital for the treatment of lacerations and bruising to his face, head and body.

Detectives attached to Brisbane Water Police District established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the incident.

Two 14-year-old girls and a 13-year-old have since been charged and remain before the courts.

Following inquiries, today (Friday 13 March 2026), a 17-year-old girl was arrested at Gosford Police Station where she was charged with kidnap in company with intent to commit serious indictable offence – occasion actual bodily harm, aggravated robbery with wounding/grievous bodily harm and reckless wounding - in company.

She was refused bail to appear before a children's court today, where she was formally refused to reappear on Friday 8 May 2026.
