Fraser Coast Council Issues Emergency Alert Tuesday

An EMERGENCY ALERT has been issued at 3.41pm Tuesday 9 March by the Fraser Coast Regional Council.

This is a FLOOD WATCH AND ACT message from the Fraser Coast Regional Council.

The Local Government Area will experience severe storm activity during this evening. The Burrum and Cherwell Rivers may see Moderate flooding. The region may experience High Wind Gusts of up to 120kmph. Maryborough will experience Moderate flooding up to 7m. The Granville bridge will be closed when level is above 5.7m this evening. Residents are urged to PREPARE NOW to seek shelter and to stay off the roads.
