Free Breast Screening Mobile Clinic Coming To Wentworth

Wentworth Shire

Wentworth Shire Council is pleased to support BreastScreen NSW as they bring their mobile screening service to our community this April.

1 in 7 women in NSW will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. Because the risk increases with age, women aged 50 to 74 are particularly encouraged to attend, though all women over 40 are eligible for the free service.

Clinic Details

  • Dates: Tuesday 21 April to Wednesday 29 April 2026.
  • Location: Wentworth Health Service, 24 Hospital Road, Wentworth NSW 2648.
  • Appointment Length: Approximately 20 minutes.

Why Book a Screen?

  • Free Service: The BreastScreen NSW program is free for eligible women.
  • Peace of Mind: Mammograms can detect very small breast cancers before they can be seen or felt.
  • Female-Led: Screens are conducted by female radiographers in a private and professional environment.
  • No Referral Needed: You can book directly without seeing a GP first.

What to Remember for Your Appointment

  • Wear a two-piece outfit (you will need to remove clothing from the waist up).
  • Do not use talcum powder, deodorant, or creams on the day, as these can affect the X-ray.
  • If you have breast implants, please mention this when booking.
