Join us for a free screening of Luku Ngarra: The Law of the Land on Thursday 25 June at Knox Community Arts Centre.
The film shares the extraordinary story of Rev Dr Gondarra OAM, an initiated clan leader within the Yolŋu Nation who has spent the most part of his life as a civil rights activist, spiritual leader, cross cultural mediator and educator and one of few elders who has dedicated his life to upholding the traditional law of his people.
Stay after the screening for light refreshments a panel discussion and Q&A exploring the themes of the film and how they relate to truth telling, Treaty Victoria, and reconciliation today.
This event is part of Knox City Council's commitment to reconciliation and creating opportunities for learning, reflection and community conversation.
