Free green waste drop off

Kiama Council

Tree fall following overnight storm

Kiama Council's storm damage clean-up continues with a free green waste drop off announced.

Council is providing a free, five-day green waste drop off for local residents to dispose of their storm debris starting tomorrow (Friday 27 August – Tuesday 31 August).

Residents can dispose of two ute or trailer loads each. Trucks are not permitted.

Please bring your proof of residency when dropping off, such as your driver's licence or rates notice.

Please also observe COVID safety measures such as wearing a mask in the car when talking to our weighbridge staff, only leaving your vehicle at the designated location and handling the unloading of their own material themselves.

We are unable to provide kerbside pickups at this stage, from a general WHS perspective as well as COVID protection.

Residents should make their own arrangements for large trees and stumps that cannot be transported via the two utes/trailers.

We will monitor the uptake and may extend the period if needed.
