The acclaimed 'Not Just for Laughs' comedy roadshow is set to bring its unique blend of humour and mental health awareness to the communities of Warra, Wandoan, and Moonie from 30 May to 1 June 2025.
Australian entertainer Shane Jacobson and acclaimed performer Daniel Holt are bringing their dynamic comedy sets to the Western Downs for three nights of laughter, storytelling and heartfelt connection.
Western Downs Regional Mayor Andrew Smith said the Not Just for Laughs comedy roadshow aims to raise awareness for mental health challenges in rural communities and lift community spirits.
"Our 'Not Just for Laughs' is back by popular demand for its ninth instalment and this year we have another tremendous line-up of comedic talent doing the rounds," Mayor Smith said.
"By combining laughter with meaningful conversations, the shows foster a supportive environment where mental well-being is openly discussed in our rural communities.
"Residents in these communities are encouraged to attend and experience an evening of entertainment that promises hearty laughter but also sheds light on important mental health topics.
"The event is an adults-only comedy show and aims to bring the community together for a night of fun and reflection.
"This a free event and tickets always get snapped up in record time, so I'd encourage residents to book in now!"
Food and drink will be available for purchase at the shows with all profits going back to local community groups.
