New Year's Eve revellers will have access to free, frequent and safe trips home with complimentary travel on the Transperth network from midnight onwards.
Transperth has joined forces with WA Police to ensure celebrations stay festive, with about 290 transit officers rostered on for New Year's Eve, further supported by a significant police presence across the city.
Additional contracted security guards will shadow late night bus services throughout the early hours.
More than 200 additional services across trains, buses and ferries will operate after midnight.
Transperth has scheduled 113 extra train services, 125 extra bus trips and a number of extra ferry services to run after midnight. This is in addition to those services which operate after midnight on a normal weekday.
Extra buses and railcars will be on standby in case any services experience significant demand.
Free travel will remain in place until 6am on Wednesday, January 1.

As stated by Transport Minister Rita Saffioti:
"Travel on all Transperth services will be free from midnight until 6am on January 1, so there's no better time to let our team do the driving.
"I'd urge anyone considering going out on New Year's Eve to get on the Transperth app, check out the website and make sure they plan how they're going to get home before they party.
"There's nothing worse than getting stuck after a fun night out, so plan ahead and take advantage of the hundreds of extra services planned to get you home safely."

"New Year's Eve is a wonderful time to celebrate and look forward to the year ahead.
"Free public transport is a great opportunity to stay off the roads, so there really is no excuse for drinking and driving.
"Let's make sure we all get home safely.
"Police will be extra vigilant both at railway stations and at night spots across the State, to ensure people can enjoy New Year's Eve free from anti-social behaviour.
"I'd like to take the opportunity to wish every Western Australian a happy and safe new year."
