Campaspe Shire Council is inviting rural landowners to a free workshop designed to help manage livestock losses after emergencies.

This practical session will provide essential knowledge and skills to support recovery and preparedness. The workshop aims to educate landowners on their roles and responsibilities in managing animal mortalities. Participants will learn practical methods, communication processes with key agencies, and strategies to prepare for future emergencies.

Campaspe Shire Mayor, Cr Daniel Mackrell encouraged residents to register early and take advantage of this free opportunity to build resilience and preparedness.

"Emergencies can be devastating for rural landowners, but being well-prepared can significantly reduce the impact and help protect both livelihoods and livestock."

"Attending this workshop gives landowners confidence that they have the strategies and resources to manage livestock losses effectively, providing real peace of mind when emergencies occur," Cr Mackrell said.
