Rockhampton is set to come alive with action and excitement as Freestyle Kings Live brings its electrifying showcase of freestyle motocross and BMX to the Region on 7 June.
Set at Aurizon Stadium (Browne Park), the event will transform the venue into a high-energy arena, delivering gravity-defying stunts, big air tricks and an unforgettable night of entertainment for local families and fans.
Supported by Rockhampton Regional Council, Freestyle Kings builds on the strong popularity of action sports events in the Region and adds to a growing calendar of live entertainment experiences for the community.
Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams said the event reflects the strong local appetite for high-energy entertainment.
"We've seen how popular action sports events are in our Region, and Freestyle Kings builds on that by delivering another exciting experience for our community," Mayor Williams said.
"We're excited to give residents access to world-class entertainment right here in Rockhampton, while also showcasing the opportunities Aurizon Stadium provides to host diverse events for our region."
Stadium Manager Rob Crow said the event marks an exciting milestone for the venue.
"We're thrilled to welcome Freestyle Kings to Aurizon Stadium for the first time, marking our first non-football event and showcasing the venue's potential to deliver diverse experiences for the community," Mr Crow said.
Freestyle Kings Director Josh Hannah said the Rockhampton show is an exciting addition to the tour.
"Touring is what we love, and we love exploring new places and bringing the Freestyle Kings energy to new cities, and we can't wait to introduce Rockhampton to our crew as we wrap up our Queensland tour," Mr Hannah said.
