Sunshine Coast Council's fenced playgrounds offer a safe and secure environment where kids can be kids, and parents and carers can relax knowing their little ones are protected.
Sunshine Coast Council Environment and Liveability Portfolio Councillor Tim Burns emphasised the importance of having fenced playgrounds as part of a range of diverse play spaces.
"These secure play spaces provide peace of mind, allowing children of all abilities to explore and play freely while ensuring their safety," Cr Burns said.
"With vibrant play structures and plenty of space to run around, our playgrounds are designed for fun and the enjoyment of play."
Division 4 Councillor Joe Natoli said the Kevin Asmus Park at Buddina was one of the newly fenced playgrounds where Accessibility Funding had been used.
"Accessibility Funding has enabled the full perimeter safety fencing at Kevin Asmus Park, providing 5500m² of a safe and more defined play space for our community to enjoy," Cr Natoli said.
"This enhancement promotes inclusivity and safety for all community members."
