Funding Received To Deliver Projects Across Camden

Camden Council has secured more than $650,000 in grant funding to deliver three key projects.

At last night's Ordinary Meeting, Council accepted $618,000 from Transport for NSW to deliver pedestrian and traffic safety improvements on Cawdor Road near Camden High School. The works will address issues identified through the Safer Speeds on Routes to School Program, including traffic congestion and limited pedestrian infrastructure.

Council also received $31,058 from Multicultural NSW's Stronger Together Local Councils Major Festival Grant to deliver a multicultural event in Narellan. The one-off event will celebrate Camden's growing diversity through live performances, global food stalls and interactive activities for all ages.

Council also accepted $7,500 from the NSW Department of Communities and Justice under the Holiday Break Program to deliver Camden Next Gen - Creative Youth Lab. The five-day intensive arts program for young people aged from 12 to 24 years will be held during the July 2026 school holidays at the Camden Civic Centre.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said the funding would help Council continue delivering important projects, programs and events for the community.

"These grants allow us to deliver projects that improve safety, celebrate our diverse community and create meaningful opportunities for our young people," she said.

"Strong partnerships with the NSW Government and other organisations are vital in helping us deliver more for our residents.

"This funding ensures we can continue investing in initiatives that support a connected, inclusive and thriving Camden."
