CapRescue's 30th anniversary celebrations continue thanks to a grant from Rockhampton Regional Council's Community Assistance Program (CAP).
The service was awarded $5,000 through the Community Assistance Program for their Colour Me Capricorn fun run event.
The event will continue celebrations to commemorate three decades of CapRescue's lifesaving work across the region.
Rockhampton Regional Council Mayor Tony Williams said Council was proud to support CapRescue as it marked a significant milestone.
"CapRescue has been saving lives across the region for 30 years, and their work is crucial to our community," Mayor Williams said.
"This funding supports a great community event and also helps ensure CapRescue can continue delivering critical services when our residents need them most."
Communities, Culture and Heritage Councillor Drew Wickerson said Council was pleased to be supporting Colour Me Capricorn for the eighth year running.
"CapRescue is an incredibly important service to our large region, and to be able to support them with funding to run this event brings us a lot of pride," Cr Wickerson said.
"Colour Me Capricorn is a fantastic event which combines fun, fitness and fundraising for this vital service, and this year's will be an extra special way to continue the 30th celebrations."
Since Colour Me Capricorn began in 2018, the event has raised more than $120,000 for the service's aeromedical operations across Central Queensland.
The event attracts hundreds of people to walk, jog, run or skip 2.5km or 5km through Kershaw Gardens.
CapRescue CEO Darren Pirie thanked Council for its support.
"Thanks to the Rockhampton Regional Council's generous $5,000 grant, Colour Me Capricorn will be a vibrant and enjoyable event for the community," Mr Pirie said.
"It's a fun morning that also ensures the Rescue300 helicopter and crew can continue to deliver critical emergency care to patients across Central Queensland."
Colour Me Capricorn will be held on Sunday, 22 March at Kershaw Gardens from 6am.
