Further arrest in connection with 2012 murder, South Australia

Major Crime detectives have today (Sunday 4 August) arrested and charged another person in connection with the shooting murder of Jason De Ieso at his Pooraka on 21 November, 2012.

SA Police announced they had arrested six people - five men and a woman - on Friday. The men have been charged with murder, and the woman with assisting offenders.

Today's arrest was of a man, 31, from Salisbury Downs, he has been charged with assisting an offender.

All of the accused are expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Mr De Ieso, 33, was shot dead in his workshop in Langford Street, Pooraka on 21 November, 2012.

CCTV footage from the premises, previously released by investigators, shows nine men walking towards the front of the business, with at least two of those carrying firearms. The men opened fire, killing Mr De Ieso, before running from the scene.

The murder was believed to be linked to a dispute between the outlaw motorcycle gangs the Finks and the Hells Angels, however police stress that Mr De Ieso was an innocent bystander, caught up in the tensions.

Rewards of up to $500,000 will be paid by the Government of South Australia, at the discretion of the Commissioner of Police, to anyone who provides information and assistance that leads to the conviction of the person responsible for his murder.
