Further Charges Laid Over Child Exploitation Material

Detectives from Child Exploitation Operations have further charged a 43-year-old man as part of their ongoing investigation into his online activities.

On Monday, 12 January 2026, detectives charged the man with offences relating to child exploitation material, and those matters are currently before the courts. Further inquiries led detectives to charge the man with the following additional offences:

• 1 x Producing child exploitation material

• 1 x Possessing child exploitation material

He is due to appear before the Fremantle Magistrates Court on these additional charges on Tuesday, 14 April 2026.

As part of the investigation, forensic analysis is being conducted on all electronic devices seized. During this analysis a 68-year-old woman was identified as allegedly producing and distributing child exploitation material online with the man.

The 68-year-old woman from Marangaroo was arrested on Wednesday, 18 February, and has been charged with:

• 2 x Producing Child Exploitation Material

• 1 x Distributing Child Exploitation Material

• 3 x Fail to comply with Reporting Obligations

She has been remanded in custody to next appear before the Fremantle Magistrates Court on 2 April 2026.
