Minister for Sport Natalie Ward said Round One of the Centre of Excellence Fund will see up to $75 million made available to sporting, education and government organisations.
"This Fund is one of the NSW Government's key sporting initiatives and aims to develop the talent of our future sports stars," Mrs Ward said.
"These high-performance training venues will also have a strong community feel, with multi-purpose facilities allowing community programs to be expanded for the enjoyment of all.
"The Centres of Excellence will make our sporting codes the envy of sporting administrations around the world."
A key requirement for funding is the inclusion of dedicated female programs and facilities to improve pathways for women and girls, in line with the NSW Government's women in sport strategy Her Sport Her Way.
Grants from $5 million to $15 million are available, with applicants required to provide a co-contribution and demonstrate improved community outcomes.
"The NSW Government's sports infrastructure program is creating a sports facility construction boom across the State, supporting thousands of additional construction jobs and recharging our economy as COVID restrictions ease," Mrs Ward said.
Applications for Round One close in February 2022.
