Prime Minister Anthony Albanese joined world leaders at the G20 Leaders' Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa this weekend.

Leaders agreed on the priorities of achieving inclusive and sustainable economic growth, increasing resilience, and building a fair and just future.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed Australia's commitment to an open, rules-based multilateral trading system and called for members to take action on climate change, increase disaster preparedness and seize the economic opportunities of the clean energy transition.

The Prime Minister also agreed with the leaders of India and Canada to enter into a new trilateral technology and innovation partnership. The three countries will strengthen their ambition in cooperation on critical and emerging technologies, with an emphasis on green energy and building more resilient supply chains, including for critical minerals.

On the sidelines of the Summit the Prime Minister also had formal meetings with the leaders of South Africa, India, Germany, Finland and the EU.

There was also a meeting of the MIKTA middle powers, a partnership that brings together Mexico, Indonesia, South Korea, Türkiye, and Australia.

While in South Africa, the Prime Minister also visited Freedom Park Heritage Site & Museum in Pretoria, where he unveiled the names of three Australians on the Wall of Names - Former Prime Ministers Malcom Fraser and Bob Hawke, and diplomat Bruce Haigh.

Freedom Park and the Wall of Names was established as a post-apartheid memorial site and serves to commemorate the sacrifices of those who fought for South Africa's freedom and democracy.
