Games On! ensures Queensland benefits from the Games to 2032 and beyond, with hundreds of grassroots clubs across the State to receive upgrades.

Games On! Is strengthening community participation by improving the quality and accessibility of sporting facilities, helping clubs grow and making it easier for Queenslanders to get involved in sport.

The program will support eligible organisations to deliver infrastructure improvements in the lead-up to the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and beyond, to make sure local communities see real and lasting benefits.

Registrations of Interest are now open for eligible organisations under two categories:

  • Games On! 'Field of Play' – $20 million of available funding focusing on smaller, community-level infrastructure projects that enhance participation opportunities and upgrade amenities.
  • Games On! 'Partnership Fund' – $10 million of available funding for new larger-scale infrastructure projects or upgraded and re-developed precincts.

Minister for Sport and Racing and Minister for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tim Mander said the program was ensuring more local clubs' benefit from the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

"We're backing Queensland grassroots sports with the upgrades they need, to train our next generation of athletes," Minister Mander said.

"In the lead-up to 2032, we're investing in local sporting clubs as part of the Games legacy to benefit all of Queensland.

"Participation in sport increases when the right infrastructure is in place, and that's what the Games On! program is all about.

"From Cairns to Currumbin, Longreach to Mount Isa, every corner of Queensland will benefit from our Games On! program.

"This is about backing Queenslanders, from the volunteers who keep local sport running to the next generation discovering the joy of getting involved.

"We are now calling on eligible organisations to come forward with their shovel-ready projects."
