GBH charge at Cunnamulla

Detectives from Cunnamulla Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a local man with grievous bodily harm (GBH) following a disturbance at a Wicks Street home earlier today, (May 21).

It will be alleged that at around 9.30am a verbal argument between two men known to each other escalated with a 19-year-old local man being stabbed in the arm with a pitchfork.

The teen was transported to Cunnamulla Hospital before being transferred to a Brisbane hospital for treatment and surgery.

Police arrested a 29-year-old man at a nearby residence soon after the incident. He has been denied police bail and is due to appear in the Charleville Magistrates Court on Monday, May 23 charged with GBH and wounding.
