Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III announced that the president has made the following nomination:
Marine Corps Lt. Gen. William M. Jurney for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general, with assignment as commander, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific; and commanding general, Fleet Marine Force Pacific, Camp Smith, Hawaii. Jurney is currently serving as commanding general, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
