Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III announced that the president has made the following nomination:
Air Force Maj. Gen. Andrew J. Gebara for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general, with assignment as deputy chief of staff, Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration, Headquarters U.S. Air Force. Gebara is currently serving as the commander, Eighth Air Force; and commander, Joint-Global Strike Operations Center, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana.
