ESCWA held a third training workshop for project coordinators working on "Developing a Geographic Information System (GIS) for Transport Networks and Facilities in Arab States", with the support of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).
The workshop, held on 21 and 22 March at the UN House in Beirut, reviewed the project stages and trained participants to analyze data to improve transport systems at national and regional levels.
Participants also discussed related challenges, and agreed on a roadmap to overcome them and implement the project while promoting regional integration.
