Get active at Sons of West

Popular men's health and fitness program, Sons of the West will return to the City of Melton in March and men who want to live healthier lives are encouraged to sign up.

Join like-minded guys at either Taylors Hill or Arnolds Creek to learn more about your health from experts and get active with challenges tailored to your fitness levels.

The free, 10-week program is delivered by Melton City Council in partnership with the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation and is open to all men over the age of 18 who live or work in the City of Melton.

Developed by Western Bulldogs Football Club, Sons of the West is designed to promote health, improve wellbeing and prevent disease in men in Melbourne's west.

The workshops, presentations, events and fitness sessions are planned to make exercise and healthy lifestyles achievable and enjoyable, and the program is also a great way to connect with other local men.

Mayor Cr Lara Carli said Sons of the West was a great chance for men to take charge of their health and fitness.

"This is an engaging program that combines guidance from men's health experts with fun fitness activities," Cr Carli said.

"Over the years, Sons of the West has helped local guys make some really positive changes for better health," Cr Carli said.

"It's a great way to get clear advice and support for living a healthier life, and make some new mates too."

There are three separate programs on offer in City of Melton – one at Caroline Springs and two at Melton.
