Gilgandra Local Planning & Masterplanning Survey

Gilgandra Shire Council

Have Your Say on where we Live, Connect & Play!

Gilgandra Shire Council (GSC) is inviting community members to be part of shaping the future of Gilgandra Region by participating in a community survey to inform multiple key strategies and masterplans.

We want to hear your thoughts on:

• The CBD Masterplan – developing a new vision to guide future investment, design improvements, and enhance the heart of our CBD.

• The Hunter Park Precinct Masterplan – developing a new structure plan for the Hunter Park Precinct which will be integrated with the CBD Masterplan and sets out higher level intentions than a masterplan, focusing on access and planning for types of future activities.

• Housing, the Aero Park Place Plan and Future Residential Growth – reviewing and updating Council's existing approach to ensure suitable housing options and planning provisions continue to meet the needs of our community.

Mayor Cr Doug Batten says the survey is an important opportunity for the community to tell us what they value and priorities on where we Live, Connect and Play.

"We want to hear directly from our residents about what matters most to them, whether it's ideas to improve our CBD, the way you interact in Hunter Park, or the types of housing our community will need into the future. Your lived experiences are invaluable in helping Council make informed, strategic decisions for the future planning of Gilgandra."

The survey is quick to complete, taking only around 5–10 minutes, every response will help inform the direction of these vital projects.

Community members can participate and Have Your Say by completing the online survey available at GSC's website, gilgandra.nsw.gov.au, or completing a hard copy survey available from GSC's offices, including:

  • Main Office – 15 Warren Road
