Girl bitten by dogs in Turrella

A girl has been hospitalised after being bitten by two dogs in Sydney’s south today, NSW Police say.

Just after 11am (Monday 13 Monday 2018), emergency services were called to a park on Henderson Street, Turrella, following reports a child was bitten by a dog.

Police have been told a two-year-old girl ws playing in the park when two unleashed dogs have approached her and bitten her on the shoulder and head.

She was treated by paramedics and taken to St George Hospital and later transferred to the Sydney Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers from St George Police Area Command located and secured the dogs until local council rangers attended.
