Glenorchy Knights Football Club redevelopment

Tasmania's Glenorchy Knights Football Club will undergo a $1million makeover thanks to a major investment into facilities at KVG Oval by the Liberal and Nationals Government.

The club was founded in 1956 by a small group of Croation migrants and has grown into one of the most competitve clubs in Tasmania, now competing in the the National Premier League—the state's highest level of football.

The Glenorchy Knights Football Club, with its longstanding and rich history in Tasmania, has continued to expand and increase its presence in the game and in the local community.

The club is run out of the KGV complex at Grove Road Glenorchy and this funding will help transform the existing building into a multi-purpose facilty incorporating vibrant new clubrooms.

The upgrade will also include a new fitout for catering facilities and viewing areas for spectators. Other football clubs in the region will also be able to use this new facility, adding to the community benefits this project will deliver.

Investments such as this build stronger rural communities and make the regions an even better place to live, work and raise a family.

This project will create local jobs, boost the local economy and help the community continue to thrive, prosper and grow.
