Glow, Grow, Go Wild This June

Shellharbour City Council is inviting the community to celebrate the environment with a month of free events that connect people to the environment through art, science and hands-on experiences.

The month kicks off with a special re-screening of the Creative Wollongong Short Film Festival on World Environment Day, Thursday 5 June at Shellharbour Civic Centre. This inspiring collection of short films explores environmental themes and showcases creative storytelling from across the region.

Shellharbour City Mayor Chris Homer said the events reflect the community's passion for nature and the environment.

"Spending time in nature and learning about it reminds us of how much there is to protect," he said.

"When we slow down and really take a moment to notice the world around us, the trees, the wildlife, and the coast, we reconnect with something bigger than ourselves. That connection makes us more mindful of how we care for the environment, every day."

Bookings are essential for all events.
