A Southport man is over the moon after winning a substantial division one prize in the recent Saturday Gold Lotto draw. The lucky Gold Coast resident was one of eight national winners in the Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4417, held on November 18, 2023, each claiming a prize of $653,226.42.
Additionally, his marked System 7 entry secured him division three wins six times, increasing his total prize to an impressive $657,257.52.
“I checked the results on Sunday morning!” the winner explained to lotto officials.
“I was stunned! I was shocked for a few minutes".
His winning System 7 entry was purchased at newsXpress Southport Park, located in the Southport Park Shopping Centre on Ferry Road. The owner of the newsagency, Faye Yang, expressed her team's excitement at selling their first division one winning entry.
“I’ve got a few ideas on how to spend the money. It’s very exciting. But at the moment, I’m just trying to be low-key and keep it subdued.
“It certainly will make for a nice Christmas and 2024!”
The man’s winning marked System 7 entry was purchased at newsXpress Southport Park, Shop 18, Southport Park Shopping centre, Ferry Road.
newsXpress Southport Park owner Faye Yang said the team were thrilled to have sold a division one winning entry and couldn’t wait to celebrate for weeks to come.
“What an incredible experience! We’ve decorated the shop and plan on shouting our winning news from the rooftops!” she said.
“It’s our first division one winning entry and it feels amazing.
