Good Things Grow When Farmers Come Together

There was a real buzz in the room at the latest Farming Our Way meet-up. The kind that comes from people who love what they do and want to make it better.

Across the table were truffle growers, veggie farmers, vineyard operators and producers of every kind, all swapping ideas about soil, growing techniques and how to reconnect people with where their food comes from.

What stood out most was the energy. A group of growers genuinely excited to learn from one another, improve their land and build something stronger for the whole Peninsula.

"Getting together reminds us we're not alone — we're all working toward something greater."

Farming Our Way,a partnership between the Shire and Melbourne Water, is supporting farmers to adopt more resilient, regenerative practices that protect their soil, strengthen their businesses and keep local food thriving for years to come.

It's a reminder that when local growers come together, everyone on the Peninsula benefits.
