"The Federal government has saved Medicare Bulk Billing by tripling the Medicare Bulk billing incentive that allows GPs to provide free GP visits."said Dr Robert Marr OAM GP and Vice President Australian Doctors Reform Society

"GPs were stopping bulk billing Medicare due to 9 years of the previous governments under funding of Medicare but many GPs will now keep providing GP consults at no cost to the patient because the government has increased the incentive to Bulk Bill Medicare form $6.60 to $19.80" said Dr Marr

"The saving of Medicare Bulk Billing will reduce unnecessary suffering and even deaths that would have occurred if patients could not afford to go to the doctor.said Dr Marr

"The saving of GP Medicare Bulk Billing will also save millions of dollars of public hospital expenditure by reducing unnecessary visits to hospital emergency departments and unnecessary admissions to hospitals"said Dr Marr
