Premier Jeremy Rockliff said the Tasmanian Government will incorporate supported recommendations into the upcoming Change for Children Action Plan
"There is nothing more important than the safety and wellbeing of children and young people," Premier Rockliff said.
"The findings of the review provide assurance to the Tasmanian community that matters raised by the Commission of Inquiry have been acted on.
"Importantly, Peter Woolcott found that all matters of concern relating to named State Service employees and officers raised by the Commission of Inquiry have been appropriately dealt with.
"That is a significant finding and one that should give confidence to Tasmanians."
In 2023, the Tasmanian Government accepted all 191 recommendations of the Commission of Inquiry into the Tasmanian Government's Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in Institutional Settings.
Mr Woolcott conducted an independent review of actions taken by Government agencies in response to concerns raised about State Service employees and officers, including the timeliness, appropriateness and effectiveness of those actions.
Premier Rockliff said the Government response marked another significant step in delivering on its comprehensive reform agenda.
"We have implemented wide-ranging reforms to keep children and young people safe," he said.
"These include strengthened employment directions, improved oversight and transparency, and the establishment of the Shared Capability and Centralised Investigations unit to deliver timely, thorough and trauma-informed investigations."
The Government has also established an Independent Child Safety Reform Implementation Monitor, introduced legislation to strengthen the Commission for Children and Young People, and continued improvements to the Working with Vulnerable People Scheme.
"We remain committed to ensuring Tasmania's institutions are safe for children and young people, and that the failures of the past are never repeated."
