Four people were arrested after a train carriage was graffitied at Grange last night.
About 7.30pm on Tuesday 29 December police were called to Military Road, Grange by reports of a group acting suspiciously near the Grange Railway Station and nearby service station.
When the group noticed patrols in the area they all ran away. Three suspects were quickly apprehended without incident but one climbed onto the roof of nearby premises on Jetty St.
Patrols quickly set up cordons and the man came down from the roof safely after about an hour.
A search of the area revealed fresh graffiti had been marked all down the side of a train carriage, causing thousands of dollars' damage.
The 20-year-old Elizabeth Grove man who climbed onto the roof was arrested and charged with mark graffiti, unlawfully on premises, carry graffiti implement, refuse details and hinder police.
A 20-year-old Noarlunga Downs man was also arrested and charged with mark graffiti and carry graffiti implement.
A 29-year-old Morphett Vale woman was charged with unlawfully on premises and a 16-year-old Grange boy was arrested for hinder.
The adults were bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on 9 February and the youth to the Port Adelaide Youth Court on 21 January.
