The Cook Government's annual Women's Grants for a Stronger Future Program is now open, with $585,000 in funding available for a variety of projects that support and address the unique issues faced by Western Australian women.
The program builds on the success of previous years and supports the development of projects that advance gender equality to build a better, fairer and more equitable community.
This year, two Women's Grants for a Stronger Future opportunities are available:
- the Annual Grants Program will provide grants of up to $10,000 for one-off initiatives; and
- the Safety and Justice Grants Program will allocate grants of up to $150,000 to fund projects that work towards the primary prevention of violence against women with a focus on sexual violence.
Previous year's recipients include the Weave to Thrive project, a mentorship program for female start-up businesses and a project providing new employment pathways for women survivors of family and domestic violence.
Applications for the Safety and Justice Grants Program open on 1 September and close at 3pm on 3 October 2025. Applications for the Annual Grants Program open on 15 September and close at 3pm on 17 October 2025.

As stated by Women Minister Simone McGurk:
"Western Australians are leading bold, innovative projects that strengthen communities and drive progress toward gender equality. Through the Women's Grants for a Stronger Future Program, our government is proud to support organisations working to create lasting, positive change.
"This year, we've invested $585,000 to expand opportunities for women and girls to thrive. These grants recognise the creativity, resilience and expertise of women across WA and help turn great ideas into lasting impact.
"We're committed to building a future where gender equality is not just a goal, but a lived reality - where every woman and girl can contribute, lead and succeed."
