Greater Darwin Area Police Arrest Car Theft Suspects

Northern Territory Police have arrested 3 youth after a stolen vehicle pursuit in the Greater Darwin Area this morning.

At 4:00am, police received reports that a blue Hyundai Accent had been stolen from an address in Coconut Grove and had been used in several unlawful entries throughout the Stuart Park and Parap areas.

A short time later, the stolen vehicle was located travelling on the Stuart Highway, Berrimah, where a pursuit was commenced.

The vehicle travelled into Palmerston, where it came to a stop at a residence in Moulden, with all 3 offenders running from the vehicle before being arrested by members from Strike Force Trident and the Dog Operations Unit.

The 12, 13, and 16-year-old males remain in custody with all expected to be charged with multiple offences.

Detectives from Strike Force Trident are investigating, and are urging anyone with information in relation to the unlawful entries in Stuart Park and Parap, particularly footage of the vehicle or its occupants, to make contact on 131 444. Please quote reference 10431379.
