Greater Darwin Area Robberies: Police Arrest Suspect, Recover Stolen Vehicle

Northern Territory Police have arrested 3 youth in relation to multiple robberies in the Greater Darwin Area overnight.

Around 7:10pm, police received a report that a group of youths allegedly stole a number of items and cash from a vehicle on Malak Crescent, Malak. The female owner of the vehicle confronted the group before they have all fled the scene on foot.

A short time later, the same group allegedly unlawfully entered a residence on Sabine Road, Millner. The group have allegedly threatened the male resident with a knife before stealing his Toyota Hatchback.

The vehicle was located abandoned on Rickards Court, Malak.

Detectives from Strike Force Trident and Dog Operations Unit deployed and 3 males, aged 12, 14 and 14 were all arrested at a residence in Malak.

A further two youths, aged 13 and 17, were also arrested at the same location after being found in possession of stolen property. All offenders are currently in custody assisting police with enquiries.

Investigations remain ongoing and charges are expected later today.
