This year's Greens (WA) State Conference ran over the weekend of October 12-13 and everyone agreed it was one of the best of the best. Getting everyone to reflect on an action they would take was a great way to end the weekend. People I spoke to at the end found it hard to agree on the number one highlight, seeing as the competition was hot: the session on Forests got rave reviews, as did the one on Housing, as did Direct Action, as did Selecting the Federal leader, as did…..However, there was agreement that the emotional, warm-glo highlight was the Life Membership Award given to Annabelle Newbury and Jan Knight at the AGM. Congratulations from all of us!
