Grievous bodily harm charge at Camira

Ipswich Child Protection Investigation Unit detectives have charged a woman in relation to an alleged assault of an infant in Camira last month.

Investigators will allege the woman assaulted the infant, who is known to her, at a Camira address on the morning of Tuesday, March 7.

Following extensive inquiries, with the assistance of specialist units attached to the Crime and Intelligence Command, the 29-year-old Camira woman was arrested without incident today and charged with one count of grievous bodily harm.

She was denied police bail and will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow, Saturday, April 15.
