Grievous bodily harm charge at Craiglie, QLD

Mossman detectives investigating an alleged New Year’s Day assault at Craiglie have charged a man with grievous bodily harm, Queensland Police say.

Around 10.30am a number of people were socialising at a Corella Street residence when an altercation occurred between two men.

Police will allege a 24-year-old Port Douglas man was punched to the head and face sustaining breaks to several bones. He left the residence and sought medical treatment.

A 43-year-old Port Douglas was yesterday charged by detectives and is due to appear in the Mossman Magistrates Court on March 1.
