Detectives have charged a man following the alleged assault of 41-year-old man in Nanango on Monday.
It will be alleged around 3.15pm two men, who are known to each other, became involved in an altercation during which one of them was kneed in the head.
Emergency services attended the Chester Street residence and the man was transported to Kingaroy Hospital. He was subsequently airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
A 47-year-old Nanango man has been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm and will appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court today, February 27.
