Grievous bodily harm in Upper Mount Gravatt, QLD

Police are investigating an incident in which a 39-year-old man was assaulted in Upper Mount Gravatt last night, Queensland Police say.

Preliminary investigations suggest that around 11.30pm, the 39-year-old man entered the front yard of a Curfew Street address and approached a 79-year-old man.

A short time later, a 45-year-old man arrived at the address and confronted the 39-year-old.

A physical altercation ensued, resulting in the 39-year-old man sustaining facial fractures and the 45-year-old man sustaining a fractured hand.

Both men were transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

The 79-year-old man did not sustain any injuries and is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
