Grievous bodily harm incident in Bracken Ridge, QLD

Detectives are investigating following an incident in which a woman was injured at an address in Bracken Ridge this morning, Queensland Police say.

Preliminary investigations indicate at around 10:40am emergency services were called to an address on Aldea Circuit following reports a woman had been doused in an accelerant and set on fire.

The 28-year-old woman was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment of burns to her arms and chest.

A man, who is known to the woman, was taken into custody in Chermside and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
