Griffith's Carols by Candlelight is set to sparkle with fresh energy in 2025, as local music teacher and performer Hannah Lonergan steps into the role of Creative Director.
Council is delighted to welcome Hannah to the role, bringing her extensive experience in music performance, event coordination and community engagement. An active member of the Griffith City Town Band and Griffith Musicians Club, Hannah is also Assistant Director for Mamma Mia The Musical Griffith 2025.
Working closely with Council's Event Management Team, Hannah will design a festive evening filled with music and community spirit. She will coordinate the performance program, blending traditional carols with modern Christmas favourites and collaborate with schools, community groups and local musicians.
Carols by Candlelight will return to the stage at the Community Gardens on Sunday 14 December 2025, promising a night of joyful performances and sing-along moments for all ages.
Hannah said she is thrilled to take on the role and is calling on singers to get involved.
"Carols is the perfect opportunity to showcase our talented performers and add some Christmas cheer," she said.
"My aim for this year is to present a wonderful mix of traditional favourites and contemporary Christmas music, with plenty of opportunities for the community to sing along."
