Griffith's future leaders are being called to step up, speak out and make a difference, with the upcoming Griffith Changemakers Forum.
Griffith City Council, in partnership with Sonder Youth, is inviting young people aged 12 to 24 to ignite their passion for positive change on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 August 2025 at the Griffith Regional Sports Centre.
This two-day forum will bring together youth from across the region for a series of leadership challenges, changemaking workshops, teambuilding activities and discussion groups. The Forum allows young people to discover avenues for social change, strategies to implement changes within the community and how individuals can be the change they want to see in their community.
The event is free, with all meals included. Accommodation can also be provided for attendees travelling from outside Griffith.
"This is about supporting the voices and visions of our region's young people," Council's Youth Development Officer, Charli Scott said.
"It's a chance for them to gain skills, collaborate and see how they can contribute to building a stronger, more inclusive future."
