Griffith Council Offers Ideal Christmas Gift Options

Griffith City Council is helping the community get a head start on Christmas gifting with a wide selection of thoughtful, locally sourced, and experience-based presents available across Council facilities.

Whether you are seeking something unique, practical or heartfelt, there is a gift for everyone:

  • Griffith Tourism Hub – Choose from beautifully curated hampers featuring quality local produce, along with the popular Visit Griffith Calendar showcasing stunning regional imagery, perfect for gifting or keeping.
  • Griffith Regional Aquatic and Leisure Centre – Stock up on swimwear, goggles, accessories and more for the water-lovers in your life.
  • Griffith Regional Theatre – Gift an experience with theatre memberships or tickets to upcoming performances.
  • Griffith Regional Art Gallery – Explore one-of-a-kind artisan pieces, including jewellery, ceramics and textiles, made by local creators.

Residents can also take advantage of Griffith's festive shopping atmosphere throughout December. Banna Avenue will come alive on Saturday 6 December for the Sidewalk Sale, offering a lively environment to browse gifts and support local retailers.

The celebrations continue on Thursday 11 December with Late Night Shopping across the city. Retailers will stay open into the evening and Kooyoo Street Mall will host Christmas Markets featuring handcrafted and locally sourced goods, an ideal opportunity to complete your Christmas list while enjoying a relaxed, festive atmosphere.

Adding to the evening's cheer, the Griffith Regional Art Gallery's popular Sip & Spend event on Thursday 11 December invites shoppers to enjoy a glass of wine while discovering locally made gifts—perfect for those seeking something special.

As you shop, remember to keep an eye out for the Star Shopper promotion. When you shop at participating businesses displaying the star, you will go into the draw to win a share of $1,000 in prizes.

This Christmas, Griffith City Council encourages the community to shop local, celebrate local, and give gifts that reflect the creativity, talent, and spirit of our region.
